In a previous post, I it was mentioned from Dr. Oz the importance of doing 30 minutes of resistance / weight bearing exercise every week, especially for over 40 health and wellness.

As a man in my late 40′s I took this on board and decided to give to incorporate a 30 minute weight bearing exercise routine into my weekly exercise routine. I need to build some muscle.The problem I faced was that I don’t belong to a gym, and so I was looking for some sort of routine that just used body weight.

So I thought I would share it with you.

The exercises in the video are as follows:

  • Push-ups
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Lunge with Twist
  • Seal Jumps
  • Bicycle Crunches
  • Stationary Lateral Lunges
  • Seal Jumps
  • Bench / Chair Dips
  • Cross-over Flings
I found all the exercises easy to do ( except for the lunges where I kept falling over!), I could tell from the different angles that I was doing some exercises incorrectly/inefficiently.
